Some photos from October 2010 Posted on October 31, 2010August 23, 2023 by scott I demand proof, Mr. Neon Sign. It’s getting red and cold everywhere. Time to put the heating back on, I guess. Glasgow’s Old Fruit Market, October 20th, 2010. Some of the fine baubles available for purchase at Edinburgh Zoo. Or are they trinkets? Bongo, Edinburgh Zoo. I think I’ve angered this little fella. I’m sure he wants to hurt me. This dude’s altogether too chilled. Woah. There’s an awful lot of these penguins in the zoo. This is cheating, Edinburgh Zoo. For shame. There’s no shortage of penguin photo opportunities at Edinburgh Zoo, that’s for sure. This photostream may become a little penguin-centric over the coming days. Sorry. More Snow Globes Hiya Lion! Hiya pal! Well, it was either this or stand around twiddling my thumbs. Perhaps not the best idea to block out what’s probably going to be the last of the sun Scotland sees for nine months with this curtain, but I like the effect. And I’m testing a new (to me, at least) toy. She gets up and sleeps. Kangaroo, Edinburgh Zoo Chow time for this little fella OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Just to break up all the animals in the stream. Also taken at Edinburgh Zoo, mind. Getting ready for the parade. Well, apart from the dude slumped on the floor on the right. Get a grip, penguin! Regardless of the size of waterfall, I am always reminded of the unescapable truth that I have again forgotten to buy ND filters. Kangaroo, Edinburgh Zoo A Sad Penguin, at Edinburgh Zoo. I know we shouldn’t anthropomorphise animals, especially penguins given that whole March of the Penguins thing, but this little guy does look defeated by life, doesn’t he? Glasgow’s Old Fruit Market, October 20th, 2010. Badly Drawn Boy pimping his merch. This sign was misleading. Edinburgh Zoo does not contain a three kilometer tall koala. This penguin’s attempts to hypnotise me were doomed to failure. Now you must excuse me, I have to go and buy a ton of fish for some reason. Hey! I’m over here! Look at me dammit! Man, penguins are tools. I do appreciate the efforts these penguins make with their hairstyles. Most rad. The penguins are much more elegant underwater than waddling around on land. T5: Rise of the Monkey Machines I have nightmares about lighting fixtures like this. Glasgow’s Old Fruit Market, October 20th, 2010. A tigger! Most likely a demented tigger, given the non-stop, manic pacing in front of the glass enclosure it was doing. It’s the big cat equivalent of sitting hugging your knees and rocking back and forward. Taken in a surprisingly gloomy enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo some months back, for a shot at ISO2000 from an Olympus, this scrubs up quite well, I reckon. He’s a wicked little guy He’s a dink Way to go I like him I got problems
